A Weekend in Saratoga!

Thinking of exploring Saratoga Springs, NY? Saratoga is a small town with a booming restaurant scene, interesting history, and whether you’re a foodie, have a love for horses, or a shopaholic, Saratoga is sure to be one of your new favorite places to visit. Saratoga truly has something for everyone! Continue reading to check out my weekend guide that shares where to stay, what to eat, and where to shop while visiting Saratoga!

Saratoga Springs is known for its classy vibes, and is the hot spot to travel to in the Capital Region of NY, during the spring and summer months. We live about 40 minutes south of Saratoga, and we are ALWAYS finding a reason to get up there for a weekend away! Because of its small size, you can cover a lot of ground and explore a lot of gems in just a short weekend!

Hope you enjoy! As always, if you have specific requests of things you’d like me to cover, I’d be happy to help!

WHERE TO STAY

So because we live so close to Saratoga, we usually will just come up for the day, but whenever we do stay overnight, it’s always at The Downtowner Hotel by Lark Hotels. This stylish and modern hotel is in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle, and is the perfect location so that you are walking distance to all the best spots in town. The rooms are minimal but trendy. I literally could just lay in their beds all day because they are so comfy.

The best part? The hotel has the bones of a vintage styled motel, and has a killer common area that used to be where an actual pool was back in the day that you can hang in. We always stay there with friends and it has all of those “instagramable shots” you and your friends NEED. They also have an awesome coffee bar! Gimme all the coffee! You can easily book a room today by clicking here!

WHERE TO EAT

The Blue Hen-The absolute best spot in the area for Brunch. Located in the Adelphi Hotel, this is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. The entire roof is glass, and the decor and atmosphere is impeccable. They open up the back patio during the summer too which is my fave! If you are looking for fine dining and a place you will not forget-this is your spot! The last time we had brunch there we got the Bacon & Eggs as an app and the bacon actually comes out on a clothesline! My mouth is still watering.

Osteria Danny-My husband and I are serious foodies, and I’m not even joking when I tell you that the meal that I had at this restaurant last weekend was probably the best food I have ever had in my entire life. The menu changes daily, which makes the experience even better because it’s depends what’s in season and what the chef is in the mood for . If there happens to be Coconut Cream Pie on the menu…GET IT. The absolute best. The restaurant is pretty small, so make sure you call ahead and make a reservation!

15 Church-Another one of my favorite restaurants, with a variety to choose from! This restaurant is just off of Broadway and has the most amazing seafood in town. They also have a great wine selection!

Sinclair Saratoga-If you are looking to get some drinks, especially during the warmer months- this is your spot! They have super trendy drinks, and a fun atmosphere with a large patio, and games to play with friends! It also gets pretty busy at night with a younger crowd, so if you are looking for something more low key, head here early before the crowd picks up!

WHERE TO SHOP

Saratoga Sundress-Whenever I’m going to a wedding, I drive to Saratoga Sundress to see what’s new in their store! I always joke around with friends stating that owner must be on my Pinterest page, because the clothes are everything I pin! Luckily for me, they opened more locations, so I don’t have to drive all the way to Saratoga, but this is a store you cannot miss if you are in the area.

Lola Saratoga-If only I was a loaded housewife this would be my forever kind of store! With the best selection of bags like Louis Vuitton & Tory Burch, you will have a hard time not splurging and buying something for yourself here!

G. Willikers Toy Store-We happened to stumble upon this store while walking down Broadway, and I’m so happy we did because they have the cutest toys for children, with some great prices! We got all of my son’s toys for his Easter basket here, and only spent $50! We picked up some really cool stuff that you wouldn’t find anywhere else too! This little shop is definitely a good find if you have kids!

I hope you enjoy these spots as much as we do, and please make sure to tag me in all of your photos when you visit! Travel to Saratoga and see something I missed? Comment below!
